Kurfiss Sotheby's International Realty is owned by Donald D. Pearson, an international businessman and entrepreneur. He bought Kurfiss Real Estate in 1991 from the estate of David C. Kurfiss. At that time, the Pennsylvania real estate agency had only one location, in New Hope, PA, and only ten REALTORS®.
Pearson believed the market was ready for his vision of a boutique agency, and he was right! The personal touch offered by Kurfiss Sotheby's International Realty distinguishes us in the marketplace. The beauty, history and culture of the region we serve continue to make it a desirable destination.

In the first decade after Pearson bought Kurfiss Sotheby's International Realty, sales surpassed $1 billion and the agency represented Pennsylvania home buyers and sellers in the sale of more than 5,000 properties. We continue to grow annually in number of agents who have chosen to join us and in number of satisfied clients.
Pearson believes strongly that with success comes responsibility. To reinforce that belief, Kurfiss Sotheby's International Realty has formed partnerships throughout the communities we serve to celebrate the character, culture and history of Bucks County, Center City and the greater Philadelphia real estate market, as well as communities and real estate in nearby Lambertville and Princeton, New Jersey.
Corporate gifts are given regularly to organizations including the Doylestown Hospital, The James A. Michener Museum, Fox Chase Cancer Center, Friends of the Delaware Canal, FACT of Bucks County, Central Bucks Cares, The Academy of Vocal Arts, the Bucks County Family YMCA, the Free Library of Bucks County, and The Philadelphia Orchestra. In addition, staff and sales associates are encouraged to do volunteer work in their communities.
